A Good Effort

Charlotte Moss

South had a handful of new players for this match (which was wonderful!), and everyone started brightly considering some team members were suffering slightly from the effects of too good a Friday night!

The first half was a tale of short corners, and St Neots were quick to capitalise on these opportunities. The first goal was a good display of interplay and accurate passing from St Neots and was well taken. The second goal (also from a short corner) was high into the net and was very confident play from St Neots.

We had some good play in the opposition's half in the first half but could not quite make headway in the D to threaten on goal.

The second half was much more positive from South and there was some good passing around goal; Naomi played exceptional well and was amazingly spritely considering she had played four hours of touch rugby before the match! Lilla was strong in defense and got some good balls out to the midfield players.

The play was very promising for future outings, and with now being able to train as team there is some great skill to work from, shown by all.
