First 10 minutes of the game we found ourselves two goals down but many attempts from Ely were blocked by Sélène doing an amazing job protecting our goal.

Ely managed to get themselves a short corner perfectly defended by Shree and saved! Unfortunately then another goal for Ely.  Shree and Nic worked hard to battle the ball back to us and after a great long run by Amelia, very nearly a goal but not quite…

Brilliant run by Shree to get the ball and not one, not two but three short corners for us! But still not quite a goal.

After half time, more of the same, chasing an elusive goal and not quite getting into our stride.

Another goal to Ely after great battling by Shree and Laurie. Then followed some great tackling by Bethan to get the ball to our end with Nic and Amelia getting a short corner.
Much stronger drive now to get and keep the ball, well done Nic, Emily, Kat, Cat and Bethan! 
And good interceptions were played by Mo and Cat.

Finally we were getting closer, a good fight for such a near goal and then… a penalty flick!! Taken by Amelia and scored! Brilliant! 

A short corner for Ely followed by a goal… but fortunately goal unallowed, yay! The sun was shining on us although actually it wasn’t, the rain was coming down in ernest.

Some more great tackling and running, Mo, Shree and Nic with good battling and goal saved well by Sélène but alas on return try, another scored for Ely. Then Emily trying for a goal after a good run but just out! 
 
One last short corner for Ely and another save by Sélène but scored on the retry. Goal for Ely. Ending with 6-1 to Ely but well Battled by south! 

Can’t forgot the Pom going to Amelia with a fantastic flick and amazing runs following up by Shree, Nicole, Annabel, Bethan, Kat and Mo! 
The Lom going to Becky with all votes for sleeping in and missing some of the game, we blame it on the alarm!! With a special mention to Naomi's Gazelle impersonation.
