It is a sunny Saturday afternoon and the M3s turns up to Long Road to play some hockey. The opposition is the league leaders, Long Sutton 2s.

Our squad is missing key players such as Menzies, who is enjoying the sun in Barbados getting inspiration for his next joke, and Walshy, who is somewhere.

There are nothing particularly interesting happened in the whole of first half. South dominated possession and managed to open the scoreline when Joe volleyed in a deflected pass from close range.

In the second half, we were clearly inspired by Captain Adam’s team talk. Everything was good until they equalise when Ansy was sent off. From then onwards, team morale plummeted and we conceded 2 more goals. Other highlights of the half includes Jack coming on with a bib on, George throwing aerials when none of the forwards can see the sunny sky, goal-keeper Matt calmly leaving a shot in that luckily bounced out on the far post and Eric day dreaming.

Adam is very disappointed.
