We March On

In a tightly contested match against March, the L5s fought hard in the first half. The midfield and forwards displayed commendable effort but faced a setback, conceding 2-0 to an impressive reverse hit from the opposition.

The defensive unit worked tirelessly against the “cunning” tactics of March’s number 4, constantly pushing the ball into our half. Despite the challenges, the defense held firm, setting the stage for the comeback in the second half.

We played and dominated a much better half, levelling the field with two well deserved goals from Rittman and Nomes! However, the opposition’s textbook short corners and goal scoring prowess from their wicked number 4 proved formidable, resulting in a 4-2 defeat.

Despite the loss, the team played some brilliant hockey, and appreciated a spirited match. The camaraderie extended off the pitch thoroughly enjoying their club teas (hot dogs, wedges, and beans. Divine.). Honestly after a long drive up and a chilly morning, nothing beats some nice hot teas (maybe a win + hot teas actually).

POM noms were distributed well around the team really showing how hard we all worked to get that win but went to Liv for fantastic play upfront and in general.

Lom noms unanimously went to Fi for stick tanglage with the oppo!

Enjoyable day out to the Fens!
