Indoor Team give themselves a chance of making the knockout stages with a win against Perse U-16.
Cambridge South Indoor 5 - 2 Perse U-1VI
H/T: ? - ?
Scorers: Ollie Smith, Paul Spiers (3), James Cobbe
A three goal haul from Paul Spiers included some slick short corners whilst some patient build-up saw South take control of this game against Perse Under 16. Despite leaking two soft goals, South looked good going forward and with James Cobbe slotting home his first of the campaign and Ollie Smith getting an important deflection on Rich Morgan's shot, the result means that there is a good chance of progressing to the knockout stage again. Harry Tyler and Ollie Smith both deserve especial thanks for switching allegiance in an encounter that had a rather overwhelmingly Persean feel to it! As Jim Thorpe arrived the game had just ended and a sheepish Morgan now is in a debt of beer...
Team played: Steve Parker, Manu Bhardwaj, Rich Morgan, Harry Tyler, Ollie Smith, Paul Spiers, James Cobbe
