City of Peterborough Hockey Club Festival 7s 2008

Our invitations for this year's Peterborough 7s festival has been confirmed. We haven't been able to raise a Mixed team for the Sunday so are only entering the Men's tournament on the Saturday.

Saturday 31st May.

Location

Peterborough Town Sports Club, Bretton Gate, Westwood, Peterborough, PE3 9UZ

Format

The Men's tournament runs on the Saturday, commencing at 10am. Teams are 7-a-side and are each guaranteed at least 90 minutes of hockey with a minimum of 5 group games. These are followed by semi-finals and finals. All matches are played on half-sized astroturf pitches.

Cost

£4.50 per person, based on a squad of 9 each day.

Facilities

There are changing rooms and full on-site bar facilities in the club house.

Food

A (paying) pitch-side barbecue will be running throughout each day.

How To Sign Up

To sign up, e-mail Neil Sneade: njs1005 at cantab.net and send payment. The standard for the Men's tournament in particular tends to be very high, so priority will go to 1st and 2nd XI players.

Your place will be confirmed on receipt of a cheque payable to "Cambridge South Hockey Club" or alternatively you can pay directly by bank transfer to the club account (details provided on request).
