Squad Training – Thursday 7pm to 9pm – The Leys School

Cambridge South Hockey Club run professionally coached training sessions for men and ladies of all standards, every Thursday evening during the season from September to April at The Leys School. Training for the 2010/11 season will start in September 2010 - keep an eye on your emails for more update.

Summer Hockey – Thursday 8pm to 9pm – Wilberforce Road

If you have Hockey Fever and the period until the start of the new season in September feels too long, Cambridge South also offers informal weekly five-a-side hockey on Thursday evenings between 8pm to 9pm, at the Wilberforce Road Astro.

A typical session consists of a couple of 5 to 7 a-side games on a half pitch, usually one mixed game and one men's game. Each session can accommodate up to 40 people on a first-come first-served basis and they are open to anyone in the club, prospective new joiners, plus any friends or members of other clubs.

If you build up a thirst then there is usually a group of us going on for a drink or two afterwards at The Punter - a great way to get to know people in the club!

If you'd like to play, either contact Neil Sneade any time during the week prior to the session you wish to attend or else just turn up at the pitch and introduce yourself. The cost (for members and non-members) is £3 per person (£1.50 for the unwaged). If you're new to the club, your first session is free!
