Men's 4ths lose toNewmarket 2

The scoreline doesn't reflect what was an extremely good team performance played in the freezing conditions and against a very good side.

For 33 minutes, South was the better half, had more chances and short corners, but Newmarket was a constant threat and managed to score with 2 minutes before half time.

The score line was at 1-3 when again South was dominant, but a reversed decision for a short corner to South to a 16 hit for Newmarket took the wind out of our sails.

This was an encouraging display and showed that we can hold our own against a very good side and this team is already paying at a level higher than that at the beginning of the season. We are getting better and better
