Men's 4ths lose to March Town 4

Don't be fooled by the scoreline, this was a much more evenly contested game than it looked. South started very brightly and had several clear opportunities but were let down by a lack of composure in the D and a lack of luck at times. It looked like going right through to half-time goal less, but a penalty corner to March was awarded on the stroke of halftime. Somehow a fiercely struck shot heading well wide of the post was diverted back into the danger area and dispatched into the roof of the net before the South defence could react.

Second half and more of the same. A lot of South pressure came to nothing and March collected two more goals off of short corners. Despite this, heads never dropped and the last 15 minutes of the match were played out camped in March's half and yet despite everyone's best efforts the ball never managed to find its way the right side of the sticks. All in all a good performance and one that deserved a lot more than we got.
