So an away game at the Abbey….. still meant teas at the corner house - yippee!

Anyway about the game, a hard fought affair but a draw was a fair result. Both sides had their chances - ours admittedly more on the break. The defence and midfield withstood sustained pressure on the goal and I’m not sure how many short corners with Ali Graham making some good saves in goal. Vicky Lavis was outstanding at the back making clearance after clearance ably helped by Lou G and Pip Noon - making a welcome return to our defence. Anne Horan was everywhere again playing superbly well as sweeper in the first half and centre midfield in the second. Well fought everybody - a point well earned. A big thank you also to Jenny Colborne and Gemma Young playing their first game for South.
