Ladies' 1sts draw against Uni 3s

The second game of the weekend saw the L1s face the Uni team for what seems like the umpteenth time this season. With many playing their second game of the weekend, there were some tired legs around - not the best start when playing such a fast-paced team. However, South started brightly in what was to prove to be a hotly-contested match.

South worked really hard in midfield to frustrate the Uni moves, making those 50-50 balls and with some good linking play with the forwards. It was a fast-paced game, with both teams breaking and the ball pinging about the pitch. Neither side broke the deadlock, and it was 0-0 at half time. The second half started well, and our passing moves looking dangerous. One such move put Hug through for a very well-taken goal. South dug deep and held on to the 1-0 lead for almost the rest of the match, but the Uni caught us on the break and scored a clinical goal to level the scores. The game ended with a very well-deserved draw against a strong and well-drilled team.
