It's the Derby Game!
Sarah HollandThe Ladies 3s' played valiantly against the Ladies 2s.
The L3s had a large amount of possession and we were unlucky to concede three goals in the first half from some impressive shots and fast short corners.
The L3s gained a second wind in the second half and improved our marking and determination. There were a couple of breaks that sadly weren't converted into goals. We were unlucky to concede three further goals, despite some excellent goalkeeping.
All in all, the Ladies 3s played very well and we are proud of our efforts.
Notable mentions (other MoM votes) go to: Michelle and Pippa for excellent play all round; Liz for a determined attitude and running all over the pitch; and Anoushka and Ania for strong defence.
Ania Rygielska
Getting hit "in the eye" (it was the upper arm!) and dropping her stick whilst trying to defend in the D.
