The Heroic Ten

Not a great result but not quite as bad as the score sounds: we only had ten players. Anouschka played in goal for the second time ever and she grew in confidence throughout the game, making lots of great saves.

Ania was awesome in defence again, making lots of brave tackles and generally refusing to give up and let anyone past. As if that wasn't enough she also provided home made cake for half time (move over jelly babies). She also got lots of MOM votes. Louisa was also playing a key role in defence, making lots of vital clearances and strong hit-outs.

Lots of great runs from Katie and Eimear, unfortunately we couldn't quite finish with a goal.

The second half was much stronger than the first, many fewer goals were conceded and we spent a bit more time in their half.

Claire was working hard as always, putting the 'spinny thing' into practice from training and refusing to give up despite having a bad leg. She also earned a close second for Lemon by returning to the pitch in the second half still eating cake. Although in her defence, it was exceedingly good cake - thanks Ania!
