Undone by Misfortune

Last-minute cancellations (two ill and one minor car crash) had changed us from having two substitutes to being a player short, so this was always going to be a tough game.

The defenders worked their socks off and Anoushchka made more good saves. Ania's determined tackling earned her a well deserved Man of the Match and surely helped avoid several more goals.

There were lots of short corners, as unfortunately our opponents were good at finding feet in the D. We tried out Ania's 3-2-3-2 formation again (well it was 3-2-2-2 for the first half, until Lauren B kindly turned up straight from finishing the L2 game in order to double-up for us - big thank you also to Lucy B who came along but unfortunately didn't get to play as subs aren't allowed when using double-ups!)
