One Sunny Day…

Laura Edge

On a beautifully sunny September morning the L3s' played fantastically on the recently relaid Catz pitch.

Greater movement in midfield and defence plus a desire to close down attacks as they occurred had the crowd* commentating that the game was gripping.

At half time the score stood at nil-nil with both sides showing a determination to win. Royston had the greater possession of the ball, however Cambridge were fast on the break to lead to a number of chances in the D for both sides.

Sadly for CSHC, a great run from halfway and a strongly executed strike during a short lead to a two-nil defeat.

Mentions to our goalkeeper, Lydia, for some great saves.
