Hmmmmmmmmm

John Greaves

We had lots of possession.

We had plenty of players, with at least the same skill level as Nomads.

We had some nice passing moves at the beginning of each half, resulting in a couple of chances slipping by the post.

We had a few short corners.

We scored a goal - Rupert Espley bundling the ball in when for once we had numbers in the D and the battling instinct to get to the ball first.

Our midfield dominated, with Ed Bligh and Ollie Kenzie persistent and slippery in possession.

We had a makeshift goalkeeper in David Bridge, who acquitted himself well with a number of solid saves - enough to gain the MoM award

BUT…

Nomads were hungrier.

Nomads scored with almost every breakaway move they had.

Nomads pressurised, tackled, passed, stayed calm, positioned themselves better.

Character-building. Move on.

Stepped up to the plate as goalkeeper. Some great blocks.
