A well-played match by the Ladies’ 4s today, who put up a strong fight against the Ladies’ 3s despite the lashing rain. For a team who had never played together before, this was an excellent first league game.

All players put in their all and this really paid off, particularly during the second half when the ball was in the attacking half of the pitch for a significant part of the game. Some excellent saves were made by goalkeeper Cassie Woodfin, who returned to the pitch after a long break. Cassie was supported by a strong backline and particular mention should go to man of the match, Annabel Wilson, for an outstanding save in the second half.

This was again a promising start to the season with great prospects for the (hopefully slightly drier) weeks ahead.
