Frosty the Snowman

Elaine Paterson

Frosty the Snowmen
Were jolly happy souls
They came to pitch in high spirits
Despite the bitter cold
Frosty the Snowmen

It was like a fairytale they say
They hit that ball as hard as the pitch
Which was frozen hard as clay
There must have been some magic

In Tabitha's great play
For she put in great effort
And gained MOTM that day
Frosty the Snowmen

Were alive as they could be
Despite the bitter thumping
They all still laughed and played
Just the same as the Ladies' 3s
Frosty the Snowmen

Knew the score wasn't with them that day
So captain Laura said, "Let's run
And we'll have some fun"
Now before we shy away
Down to half time

With a hockey stick in her hand
Running here and there all around the goal
Eimear said, "Catch me if you can"
She lead them through some tricky shorts

Right to the end of the game
And she only paused a moment when
She heard Coops holler her name
Frosty the Snowmen

Had to hurry on their way
And they waved goodbye
Saying don't you cry
We'll see you all tonight
Thumpety thump thump

Thumpety thump thump
Look at those Frosties go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the pitch of snow
