Men's 2nds vanquished by Blueharts 3

CSHC 2nds received a good lesson in confident teamwork and taking your chances from a skillful Blueharts 3rd team used to a higher level of hockey. We never gave up, kept to our roles and positions, and the whole team played as well as they could, with no weak links. Sadly this was not enough.

In spite of Andy Lewis's constant positive attacking promptings, Jack Chalk's excellent opportunistic strike for the consolation goal just before half time, and Jan Brynjolffssen's staunch defending at left back, CSHC were outclassed.

Apart from Chalk's goal, the highlight for most of the away team was probably the (accidental) right arm smash from a Blueharts defender which rendered Skipper John Greaves' face a little more ugly than normal.

However Blueharts were generally sporting, and the sandwiches were good.
