What's Your Name Again?

Hattie Stanley

This being our first match against Sudbury 3s, we weren’t quite sure what to expect.

The game started with a little bit of confusion on our side as we’ve welcomed a few new players to our team this year. However, after the first ten minutes we were definitely getting into the ‘swing’ of things (pun not intentional…)

Sudbury played an offensive game with fast runners testing our fitness after the summer break. Within the first half they managed to score two goals, both times after a long defensive fight.

With a brief discussion over half time about positioning and communication we were back and playing more as a team in the second half, resulting in our first goal of the match scored by Fi (or Fiona depending on if she’s in serious work mode or not).

Sudbury fought hard for their last goal but managed to secure a 3-1 win over Cambridge South.

Quick mention about the lemon vote: although it was given to Laura for burning the cake I’m definitely nominating Nicole for managing to drop the same cake during teas and then passing the ‘floor cake’ to the other team to try…

Unfortunately we don’t have an accurate number of calories burned this week as Harriet was too lazy and hungover to record it on her watch but we estimate this game around 800 calories. Probably replaced by the pizza and cake afterwards…
