Men's 2nds beat Shefford & Sandy 3

The pace of the game was dictated by the unseasonally warm weather, but this didn't stop Cambridge South from gaining a solid away win. Everyone worked hard, in particular new man Dave Monck at sweeper (who got a couple of injuries for this efforts), Neil Sneade filling in at centre back and Matt Kern and Simon Harper in midfield.

South opened the scoring with a penalty confidently taken by Jack Chalk after a defensive foot prevented a certain goal. Sandy equalised shortly after half time with an unstoppable shot from a corner, but South quickly grabbed the winner. John Greaves blasted the ball into the roof of the net with a variation on the trademark near post short corner routine as Suk Pannu "passed" to him from the top of the D.

The victory was well deserved, with South sticking to the task throughout, always trying to use the ball intelligently, with attacks coming from all angles and routes, backed by resolute defence.
