Men's 4ths v : Awaiting Result

Not for the first time South got out of the blocks slowly and the first ten minutes was all Spalding. Their superior possession was converted into a 1-0 lead through some persistent work by the Spalding team.

South woke up and started to have some useful possession. The turning point was a tenacious run by James Hodge on the left which ended up with the ball being passed to Rob Barton, who duly put South level. After that the momentum was with South and Rob Barton scored twice more to put South into a comfortable 3-1 lead at half time.

After the restart, South maintained the high work rate and were rewarded with another Rob Barton goal. South continued to dominate possessions until the last ten minutes when probably tiredness and a touch of complacency kicked in. Spalding got two goals back with three minutes to go but South nervously held out for a hard working win.

Special mention must go to Tejas and Manish their selfless hard work up front to make room for Rob Barton to score!
