Three goals in the first quarter from the visitors really gave South a blow. Despite this South went on to dominate, narrowly missing the Deeping goal on several occasions. Finally, pressure resulted in a great cross from Liles and a cool finish into the bottom right corner from Nicky B.

Deeping scored again after the break; a penalty corner from a counter attack. South continued to enjoy most of the possession but were unable to convert. Great spirit shown by South, but the story of the season continues.
