Men's 4ths lose to St Ives

St Ives 4th is probably the strongest team in our league and again it showed. South battled well in the first half and were slight unlucky to go in 2:1 down. We lost an early goal, but pressured well to make it 1:1 with some good passing down the left and a clinical finish from Phil, before St Ives had a goal disallowed as it was knocked in by the back of the stick. The half was pretty even except St Ives did convert another chance before half time.

As far as the South was concerned it was simply to do much the same again in the 2nd half. For the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half we held our own, but the 3rd goal was the killer and the score line didn't reflect how well we played for 50 minutes or so.

The team also welcomes the addition of Simon Frampton who played his part upfront.
