Which team am I on again?

The M2s are well practiced at the away trip to Peterborough but unfortunately this journey didgo quite as planned.

South travelled with a bolstered squad, owing to great availability across the club, and spirits were high leading into the game despite the light drizzle left over from Storm Babet. The performance however did not live up to the expectations, despite seeming to dominate possession and creating an estimated 38 chances (see Jim for detailed stats) South struggled to find the net.

Peterborough had better luck, continuously smashing the ball through the middle and putting away a short in the first half to go 1-0 up. Even when they couldn’t create for themselves Ethan was there ready to give their centre forward the ball top D, what a nice guy.

More of the same continued in the second half with Ollie clawing one back for South, securing a deserved POM, before being caught on the break after a loose reverse pass and Peterborough sealed the 3 points with a cheeky little dink over the keeper.

All in all plenty to take away and learn for the M2s, two weeks of training to follow before we take on Ely, let’s get to work boys.
