A Draw

Laura Edge

The Ladies' 4s have been getting stronger each week as the team is becoming more established. There is now a regular group of people who firmly feel like team members. Great news for this newly-formed team. As well as gathering players, we have also gained a number of supporters who really help make our matches feel special. This week was no exception, with a packed crowd and a full team.

The L4s have suffered a number of narrow defeats this season, being competitive in games but coming away with an honourable loss. The first meeting of these sides in St Ives was just such a match, the hosts winning it one-nil. However the L4 side have made strides over the course of the season, and begun turning those frustratingly close games into impressive results.

Jan said, "If they can get a draw or a win against St Ives it would be their best result to date, as the Saints team has settled well and now sits third in the table." So I guess we can chalk this game up as the best of the season then!
