What a stunning performance for the Ladies' 4s against Newmarket 4s today. The day started with a very panicked Laura ringing her players to ask why they were late… Turns out Laura was just an hour early. Needless to say, this move defaulted her to earn Lemon of the Match. An omelette and 'proper' coffee later, Laura returned (on time) to Long Road to start the day for the second time.

The game itself consisted of excellent play by South, with Allie, Zara, Charlotte and Catriona all nominated for man of the match. Catriona, however, took the victory for her consistent play.

Newmarket spent much of the game getting very frustrated and fluffing a number of their sixteen metre hits. The frustrations were added to when the Newmarket captain was sent off for having too many players on the pitch…twice. A defensive fluff also resulted in a penalty flick for South… Congratulations to Charlotte for clearing it past the goalie with seamless effort.

Good work, ladies! Same again next week :-)

Arrived an hour earlier than needed for the meet, then woke up team members to find out where they were.
