Men's 3rds lose to Royston 4

A good work out for a scratch CSouth 3rd/4th team was decided mainly by the calibre of the opposition. They were better, and scored 4 good goals, against CSouth's one, albeit an excellent individual effort from Andy Lewis, who was lively throughout, and popped up to help the defence regularly as well as delivering frequent crosses.

Credit is also due to Shabhaz Ali - growing in confidence and tactical awareness, and beginning to dominate the goal mouth, with fearless dives and sharp saves, and Steve Fleck - his dodgy hip putting him in an unaccustomed defensive role at sweeper/centre back, both of which he played aggressively and effectively. Simon Harper also turned defence into attack with some great passes from midfield

In the main, CSouth played as well as we were allowed, and put some nice moves together, but sadly the experienced Royston defence and classy keeper ensured that the home team ran out worthy winners.

At the centre of most of CSouth's best moves, and scored a great solo goal.
