Ladies' 1sts draw with Peterborough Town 3

It was a late push back for South on Saturday as they travelled to Peterborough for a friendly match. Both teams got off to a good start with plenty of end-to-end play. Peterborough took the lead first through a very well-rehearsed short corner. The rest of the first half saw both teams having good spells of possession. Lou Tonkin was in goal for South and pulled off many vital saves throughout the game.

The second half saw South draw level with Peterborough. Emma Clarke played an early ball through for Gemma Thomas, who then beat two defenders and the keeper to score. Bek Rhodes and Becky Bertozzi linked up well on the right to create chances for South. Ellie had a great game in defence intercepting many of Peterborough's attacks.

When the final whistle blew, despite South hard work and determination, there were no more goals leaving the score line 1-1.
