Men's 3rds lose to Market Deeping 3

CSouth battled manfully to share the spoils with a fast and skillful Deeping team with some great attacking play, passing early and accurately to open up the home defence. Sadly only one goal came from these efforts, as Rob Barton waltzed along the goal line, pulling the ball back for Rupert Espley to get his just reward for his customary excellent positioning to scramble the ball over the line at the far post. Deeping pulled a goal back, as they unpicked the defensive line with neat interplay from a well worked short corner routine

That was the story of the second half. Sadly this came after a not so fine first half.

When Deeping got 6 more goals..including 5 from their star centre forward - 2 from P-flicks.

CSouth got one goal...a fine Andy Lewis cross to James Hodge who hit an unstoppable first time shot confidently into the net

Overall CSouth thirds had their moments, with the usual quota of Shabhaz super-saves, some heroic defending, good short corners, and some well worked moves but were punished for giving the ball away too much, and ended the season hopefully clinging on to Div 5NW survival.

Consistently good left back work, keeping at least one wing ofthe opposition's attack quiet.

Giving it everything in central midfield.
