Men's 3rds come back from 2 goals down to win 4-3

A competitive game played the right way saw a scratch CSouth outfit clinch victory in the closing minutes after twice going behind to a younger, individually skillful Harlow team

The home side went on the attack from the start and were 2 - 0 up early in the second half. The actual goals were unlucky, as the away defence of LeeBenedikzEvansBridge were confidently snuffing out attacks before they got into the danger areas. The opener came after Shabhaz Ali saved from point blank range only to see the ball rebound back off the attacker once again. The second goal was a rapid breakaway.

Skipper John Greaves signalled the start of the comeback with a sweetly taken angled effort from Sanjay Agarwala's masterful pull back from the by-line. Paul South then converted a trademark GreavesLewis short corner move only for Harlow to retake the lead immediately after the restart as the CSouth team were still celebrating. Taking this as an affront, Paul South then combined with Greaves and James Raikes to finish off a neat move himself to equalise once again.

The winner although from the shortest range...about 6 inches...was the culmination of a rapid passing move between Raikes and Greaves, the latter providing the pass across goal to the lurking Stu Creed at the far post.

Everyone played their part in an excellent win, particularly the midfield trio of Creed South and Agarwala, who were responsible for much of the best hockey.
